A ho-hum Tour

It's the Tour de France, the biggest bicycle race on the planet. Usually I would be blogging about the major events that happened during the tour but somehow I don't feel the urge this year. I don't know. To me, it just doesn't seem that exciting.

Yeah, so the top four riders are just a few seconds apart with Sastre doing a courageous breakaway at the Alpe d' Huez to take away the Maillot Jaune from teammate Frånk Schleck. Meanwhile, Cadel Evans managed to limit his losses and stands a few seconds behind Schleck.

OK. Now what?

I think I'm biased. And yes, I think I'm bitter that the Amaury Sport Organization didn't invite last year's winner, Alberto Contador, to defend his title. And so whoever wins this year's tour will always have an asterisk after his name in my book.

I'm sorry, Tour de France, but this year's Giro d' Italia is more exciting.
