The Zen in Bike Tinkering

I was so stressed from the heavy traffic in C5 and Katipunan Avenue on the way home that I had to go down to my bike after dinner to tune it up.

There's really nothing seriously wrong with it. Aside from some pending chain and shifter cable lubrication after the wash last week, my ride's still OK. But there's something very calming in being a home bike mechanic -- in the fiddling and tinkering with the adjustments and dials so that everything's perfect on your next ride.

To those guys who bring the bikes to bike shops to have them tuned and washed, you're missing a lot.

Thinking of doing the same thing but you're not sure how to do it? Visit the Park Tools repair website to know exactly what tools you need and how to use it.
